Qantas grows it’s freighter family with EFW A330 conversions

Qantas is growing it’s Airbus freighter family. Our customer decided to go for A330P2F conversions with EFW. After being the world’s first operator of A321P2F with three freighters of this kind in operation to date, the Airline is going to add two of its bigger A330-200 sister ships from 2023 onwards.

Conversions are planned to take place at EFW in Dresden and VTMAE in Mobile/Alabama, both to start in Q3/2022. During the conversion a comprehensive hardware and software reset is carried out, turning the aircraft into an efficient freighter power horse, which is able to carry up to 61t of gross payload on mid and long ranges.

Just lately the third A321P2F aircraft has been re-delivered to Qantas Freight to add to their growing fleet, in time for the busy Christmas delivery season. This latest A321P2F freighter has been converted from a passenger aircraft like the two previous once based on the EFW solution. Together, the three A321P2F freighters form part of the fleet dedicated to Australia Post.
