Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz visits Elbe Flugzeugwerke

The Federal Chancellor informed himself during a company tour about tasks and products of EFW, on how the company develops and what the current challenges of EFW are.

The Federal Chancellor visited our Passenger-to-Freighter aircraft conversion and the NH90 Maintenance area. Our management team had a fruitful discussion with the Chancellor and several colleagues took part in a Q & A session with the Chancellor.

What are concerns of the people at EFW? What are the next steps in education policy? How do we keep Germany competitive - economically, but also in terms of climate policy, socio-politically?

As a leading player in the aviation industry, connecting the world with its freighter aircraft, we are growing and there is the need to grow our team further by experts whether from Germany or from other countries. For EFW with an international team, it is important that togetherness in terms of society and respectful interaction are crucial.

One certain question that was on our minds until the end: What superpower does the Federal Chancellor want to support his political work? "Spontaneously, I said that confidence is important to me. But also cohesion, solidarity and a clear inner compass," said the Chancellor in his press statement later.
